Who’s Got Time to Read?!
In a world where things are going increasingly fast, who still has time to read? Well… 2020 has changed that trend. Long periods of confinement have given us the opportunity to read, at last!
In this fourth article of the Who’s Got Time to Read series, I am telling you about a book I recently read – and recommend to anyone in the hospitality industry to read – that I consider the keystone of self-development for any manager in hospitality: Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman.
Read that book? Please comment and hopefully we will motivate those who haven’t read it yet to do so. A masterpiece!
We’ve read these quotes – liked them too – promoting the build of relationship over the sole pursue of being efficient. It does sound nice and reads well. The reality is that true emotional intelligence is hard work. You’re stuck at a level and feel that you could do more, you could do(be) better? This is book will help!
Although Emotional Intelligence is an amazing book, Goleman other book, Working With Emotional Intelligence will prove to be an essential read too, as it applies all the principles explained in the first book into the practical and real world of businesses.
Coming soon, our next final article in the Who’s Got Time to Read series for now, will be dedicated to the best seller Thinking Fast, Thinking Slow by Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman.
